Two Counters - 5:30/7:30

The Mandan Chiefs return to the friendly confines of Veteran's Memorial Ballpark on Thursday for a statewide doubleheader against Jamestown Post 14. The Chiefs have not played in Mandan since Saturday June 11th when they dropped a pair to Winnipeg South 4-1 and 3-1.

The highlight of the road swing was the June 14th statewide 2-1, extra-inning victory over the Bismarck Governors at Municipal Ballpark. The Chiefs Easton Miller laid down a successful squeeze bunt in the top of the tenth inning to put the Chiefs on top for good.

Notes from the road trip:

Chiefs defeated Williston 3-0 on a complete game shutout by Ty Leingang. Game one experienced a 38 minute rain/lightening delay.

The second game was called in the bottom of the first inning because of bad weather with the Chiefs on top 1-0.

The Chiefs 2-1 victory was the third straight victory for Mandan over Bismarck dating back to last season.

Jaden Andresen stole the show against the Rapid City Post 22 Hardhats when he stole home on a straight steal.

Mason Schlosser swatted the first Chiefs home run of the year on his first swing of the day against the Vistas on Tuesday night.
